New Maine Specialty License Plate to Benefit Breast Cancer Services, Including the MBCC Support Service Fund

An exciting effort is underway to create a new Maine specialty license plate. Maine LD 775 "An Act to Create a Special License Plate to Support Breast Cancer Services" has been introduced in the Maine State Legislature.

The proceeds from this effort will be split equally between three beneficiaries: the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition for our Support Service Fund; the Maine Cancer Foundation for their Women's Cancer Research Fund; Maine Breast and Cervical Health Program for their mammogram fund. This effort has received support and endorsement from the Breast Health Cooperative, which includes these organizations plus the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Maine Affiliate.

Click here for the license plate reservation form or for more information.  The deadline for reaching the required 2,000 pre-reservations is December 31, 2007 for an October, 2008 release of the license plate.
